Find the best beaches in Seville

For a Seville beach holiday, the visitor has a number of great options to choose from. Locals favour the beaches of the Huelva area, which are located just an hour’s drive or bus ride from the city. The Cádiz area is even more popular, as it boasts some of the finest coastline in all of Spain. The world-famous Costa del Sol area is also accessible from Seville by motorway and rail transport.

Matalascañas

Matalascañas 21760, Spain
Located in the Huelva province just an hour’s drive from Seville, this beach is very popular for day trips from the city. It’s famous for a bizarre-looking upside down watchtower that was built right on the beach by Phillip II in the 16th Century. The beach itself boasts seven kilometers of golden, fine sand plus a tourist village full of dining, nightlife and accommodation options.

La Caleta

Cádiz 11002, Spain
Although smaller than some of the other beaches in the Cádiz area, La Caleta is one of the most popular because it is located in the center of the city of Cádiz itself. The beautiful palm tree-lined seafront boasts glorious golden sand, as well as a host of bars and restaurants nearby. It lies directly on the motorway about 120km from Seville.

Fuentebravia

Rota 11500, Spain
This beach is a great option if you are travelling with your family or with a group of friends, because it has all the sporting and beach activity facilities you could want for a day out. Diving, fishing and windsurfing are all common here on this wide Seville beach, which has good parking areas as well as beach umbrellas, hammocks, toilets and showers on-site. 90 minutes’ drive from Seville.

Playa de la Malegueta

Malaga 29016, Spain
While situated further away from Seville, this beach may be more convenient to get to especially if you are not using a car rental. You can fly direct from Seville to Malaga for as little as €29, and the beach is right in the city. This 1.5 kilometre long beach boasts golden sand, buzzing chiringuitos (beach bars) with seafood and tapas, plus many other restaurants and bars along the shorefront.
