While Seville is not primarily a golf destination, it’s a very popular city to visit because of its historical and cultural attractions. Thanks to a few interesting courses located just south of the city, you can combine visits to these landmarks with a few rounds to make a great Seville golfing and cultural holiday.

Real Club De Golf De Sevilla - Golf course

Located just 12km outside the city, this course is a great option for Seville golf. Designed by former US Masters champion José Maria Olazábal, its top pedigree has led it to host the Spanish Open twice in recent years. Boasting wide fairways and large greens, it features four strategically placed lakes to really challenge your golf skills. Look out for the spectacular third hole, which terminates with a green totally surrounded by water. A round costs €105. 18 holes, par 72.

Club de Golf Zaudin - Golf course

Situated less than 10km west of the city, this Seville golf course is another convenient option for a round during your holiday. The only course in the country to be designed by golf legend Gary Player, this expansive course boasts ample fairways and rolling greens. Watch out for two very challenging holes at the end of your round! The complex also features tennis courts, swimming pools and the Seville Equestrian Centre. Green fees €77, or €57 midweek.

If you want something a little different for your Seville golf experience, why not try this links course in nearby Huelva Province? Located 140km from Seville, this course is beautifully situated within a coastal nature reserve near the Spain-Portugal border. A mix of natural dunes and planted trees dotted around the course makes this a round that is more challenging than meets the eye. 18 holes, par 72. Green fees €55 per round in summer.

Parador de Malaga Golf - Golf course

If you don’t mind a couple of hours’ drive or even a short-haul flight, the city of Malaga and surrounds is home to a great number of golf courses for you to enjoy. This golf course and four-star resort is situated just 3km from the airport. One of the oldest courses in the Andalucía region, it was designed in the 1920s with the encouragement of Britain’s Queen Victoria, who holidayed nearby. 18 holes, par 72. Green fees €56 in off season, and €72 in high season.
